Galaxy S25 Ultra users report seeing pink and purple hues in moon photographs on the One UI 8 Beta. There’s a new issue discovered in the newest beta software for Samsung’s flagship phone. Users of the Galaxy S25 Ultra who have upgraded to One UI 8 Beta 4 are reporting that their photos of the moon have an odd color shift, with images appearing pink or purple.
One UI 8 Beta corrupts moon photos on Galaxy S25 Ultra
Samsung user reports state that the moon appears fine on the preview screen of the camera. However, once the picture is taken and saved, the odd coloration appears. Several examples have been posted online by users that demonstrate the issue. Most believe that the white balance correction in the camera app is not functioning correctly during final processing, resulting in the issue.
As yet, Samsung has made no comment or released a statement about this particular bug. This is not atypical of problems manifesting in beta software, with the point of the beta program being to find and fix exactly these kinds of issues prior to a stable public release.
This is not the only problem in the newest beta. One UI 8 Beta 4 also has other small bugs, such as random app crashes and slight UI inconsistencies, according to beta testers. Annoying as these bugs may be, they are all part of the beta testing process. Users hope that Samsung will resolve this and other issues reported in a future beta build or, at least, include a fix in the final stable release of One UI 8.0.
