Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra leaks point to a thinner form factor and a larger battery

Samsung is getting ready to release a new generation of its flagship tablets, and the initial significant leaks for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra are already portraying an enticing image. In spite of sharing a generally identical design with its forerunner, the new tablet is purported to bring a significant engineering achievement: a more slender body that accommodates an even bigger battery.

A New standard for thinness and power

Based on a leak from trustworthy tipster Ahmed Qwaider, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will be a substantial 5.1mm thin. That’s a discernible drop from the 5.4mm thickness of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and brings it in line with some of the slimmest devices available, such as Apple’s newest iPad Pro. Making this all the more impressive is the fact that Samsung has supposedly squeezed an enormous 11,600mAh battery into this thin form factor, a serious bump up from the S10 Ultra’s 11,200mAh battery.

The tablet will also supposedly have a gorgeous 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with WQXGA+ resolution and a silky-smooth 120Hz variable refresh rate. Although the screen size is identical, the emphasis on a slimmer form factor and larger battery indicates Samsung’s dedication to optimizing both portability and longevity.

Performance and AI in a flagship package

The leaked information reveals that this tablet is quite powerful. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is rumored to utilize the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor. This high-end chip, which rivals the Snapdragon series, will enhance the performance significantly, particularly for AI processing and gaming. The tablet will also feature Samsung’s latest software, Android 16-based One UI 8.0, with all the Galaxy AI and Gemini capabilities, providing a smarter and more convenient user experience.

The memory and storage options of the tablet are said to go from 12GB RAM for the 256GB and 512GB versions to a high 16GB RAM for the 1TB version. Some other features that have been rumored are a new 12MP selfie camera (down from the previous model’s dual setup), 13MP+8MP rear camera, IP68 dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 7, and 45W fast charging.

These leaks are worth watching closely until we get an official announcement, but the prospect of a slimmer, faster, and longer-lasting Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is intriguing. It indicates that Samsung is looking to refine its tablet design while also bumping up performance and usability. The Galaxy Tab S11 line is probably going to be unveiled as soon as September 2025, so an official announcement may be imminent.
