The AI revolution is not just a trend for Samsung; it is the core of its future. While other companies try to find their place in the new AI world, Samsung has set a bold goal: to include artificial intelligence in “90% of its business areas by 2030.” This is not just a catchy phrase; it is a serious promise from the top leaders of the company, one that will change its whole system.
Samsung focuses strongly on artificial intelligence
At IFA in Berlin, Samsung mobile division head TM Roh confirmed the company’s strong commitment. He didn’t just speak of phones getting better; he presented a vision for a complete digital transformation. Roh said Samsung won’t just be a business that utilizes AI the most, but a business that grows with it, and gets the tech as a “growth engine” in a bid to make the business increasingly efficient and effective. That means AI won’t just be a value-add on a bit of kit; it’ll be integral to the way business gets done, from supply chains and customer service.
We are already seeing the first steps of this vision. Samsung has worked hard to put Galaxy AI in its smartphones, aiming to reach 400 million devices with AI features by the end of this year. But this is just the start. The plan to extend AI solutions to almost a billion people in three years shows how big Samsung’s goals are. This won’t happen only with phones. AI will more and more be the hidden link connecting every Samsung product, from the Bespoke AI refrigerators that keep track of food to the Neo QLED AI TVs that improve picture quality and the smart vacuums that navigate your home wisely.
This strategy puts the entire consumer tech business on notice. Whereas most companies are content to merely bolt on AI functionality, Samsung is making a serious commitment, deploying AI on multiple levels in a way that provides a seamless and integrated experience no competitor yet comes close to matching. It’s a gutsy decision that the future won’t be owned by the brand with the strongest individual product in AI, but by the brand capable of getting artificial intelligence to work comfortably in every aspect of our lives. As we get increasingly enthusiastic about AI, Samsung has made it clear it does not merely wish to be a part of it, but instead, it wishes to be the leader in it.
