Galaxy S26 Ultra will be thinner with improved performance

Anticipation is building around Samsung’s next-generation flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, as prominent leaker Ice Universe has recently published a comprehensive summary of its alleged specifications. The revelations paint a picture of a device that aims to refine its predecessor’s form factor while significantly boosting its internal hardware and imaging capabilities.

With a focus on a thinner profile and enhanced display technology, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is poised to solidify Samsung’s position at the forefront of the premium smartphone market, promising unparalleled performance and a more immersive user experience for discerning consumers.

Design Evolution and Display Improvements

In accordance with the recent leaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is going to boast an impressively thinner chassis, down to 7.x mm. In accomplishing this thinner form, the phone will experience marginal increases in its width and height, but interestingly, its overall weight will be “reduced by a few grams”.

The screen will retain its large 6.9-inch size but with significant technological upgrades. It will have CoE (Color filter On Encapsulation) de-polarizer technology and third-generation anti-reflective glass. These screen advancements assure better color precision and considerably less glare, making outdoor visibility and overall viewing experience better.

Strong Performance and Battery Features

At the core of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, one can anticipate the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy processor. This specially tailored version of Qualcomm’s newest flagship processor should provide top-notch processing capability and graphical prowess. Samsung is also said to be testing an Exynos 2600 variant, suggesting a dual-chip approach for various markets.

A powerful 5000mAh battery will power this hardware, backed by 60W fast charging support for long-lasting use and quick top-ups. The phone will come with One UI 8.5, Samsung’s newest version of its custom Android interface, which promises a polished user experience and new functionalities.

Advanced Imaging System and Improved Memory

The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera system will receive some significant updates, particularly for its low-light and zoom capabilities. The primary camera will retain the HP2 sensor but will have a larger opening to allow more light in for improved photos. The 3x zoom lens will receive a new sensor, which will significantly enhance its zooming capabilities.

The 5x super zoom sensor will remain the same but will also have a larger opening to allow more light in. Earlier, there were also rumors that all Galaxy S26 Ultra models will have a whopping 16GB of RAM as standard, providing lag-free multitasking and smooth performance. The storage variants are likely to be 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Samsung is also said to be taking major leaps in thermal management, with the VC (Vapor Chamber) cooling plate being 20% larger than the one on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and it promises prolonged peak performance even under intense workloads.
