The seventh beta release of One UI 8 has been released by Samsung on its Galaxy S25 series. This is likely to be the final build before the software goes public, and it shows Samsung is close to nailing the user interface. The new beta, with firmware build S93xBXXU5ZYI3, has been released on phones in Germany and comes with a whopping 602 MB size, so there are a lot of bug fixing and stability improvement on the table.
The final One UI 8 Beta for Galaxy S25 series
The above firmware’s official release notes list a plethora of noteworthy bug fixes that deal with problems faced by beta testers. The bug fixes and changes are as under:
- Stutters on fixed clock during unlocking or locking of the lock screen.
- Resolved the bug that made Lock Screen position of the Clock move downwards unnecessarily.
- Fixed a bug that was causing breaking Bluetooth sound.
- Fixed the issue that the “Stretch Font” preference was not being applied.
- Fixed the problem where, after the update, the letters in the Nowbar, Status Bar, and Lock Screen PIN were shown too thin.
The problem where the lock screen quick run icon would vanish while being used has been fixed. Apart from these visual enhancements, the upgrade addresses a large issue with Bluetooth audio. This is significant among users who rely on car audio systems or wireless headphones. This also addresses an issue in which the “Stretch Font” setting was not functioning as intended, and the visual style was less consistent on the interface of the device.
Among the critical bug fixes are displaying input letters properly for the Lock Screen PIN, Nowbar, and Status Bar, which were coming up as too thin as a result of previous updates. The upgrade also restores the quick run icon on the lock screen, which was vanishing on some users while in operation.
The release of a seventh beta build indicates Samsung is concerned with quality. Rather than expedite a release that could have issues, the company is being methodical in ensuring the One UI 8 experience is smooth and seamless for its new flagship phones. This could mean a longer wait time for a few users, but overall, it benefits everyone by ensuring the final, stable release is a well-crafted and reliable piece of software. Leaked timelines indicate a stable release of the One UI 8 on the Galaxy S25 series could arrive as early as September 18th, and now that we have this final beta, the long wait for the finished software could be coming to an end.
